Location Narrative ? The stand is located on the north-facing slope of a low hill just to the west of the Kanaka Point parking lot on Don Pedro Reservoir. The hill (like the adjacent Kanaka Point) is a small serpentine outcrop with the typically associated serpentine vegetation. This stand is primarily medium-sized (2-4 m). Heteromeles arbutifolia is in patchy clusters interspersed by occasional decadent Ceanothus cuneatus or young foothill pine, but primarily a host of native forbs and Vulpia microstachys. The cover of exotic annual grasses in the herb layer is low.; Unknown management and fire history.
